London Clinical Senate's Patient & Public Voice (PPV) Group Recruitment

The London Clincal Senate are seeking patients, carers and members of the public to join the London Clinical Senate’s Patient and Public Voice (PPV) Group

Would you like to help improve health services at a London level? Do you have a good knowledge of the healthcare needs and experiences of your local communities or networks? Could you present these views and offer constructive advice and challenge to senior doctors, nurses and other health and care professionals in a large group environment?

The London Clinical Senate supports the development of London’s health services and the delivery of high quality, sustainable and cost effective care by providing independent advice to commissioners, supporting them to make the best decisions about health care for their populations. The role of the Clinical Senate’s PPV Group is to act as the ‘voice’ of patients, carers and the public, so that the advice which the Clinical Senate provides is informed by their views and what makes a positive difference in the way that people experience healthcare.

They currently have several vacancies in theoir PPV Group. If you would like to apply to be a PPV member, which is a voluntary role, please see the Application Information Pack on how to apply (also available on http://www.londonsenate.nhs.uk/patient-public-voice/ppv-recruitment-2017/). They would be delighted to have a discussion and give you further information before you apply if that would be helpful. If this is of interest please contact Sue Dutch, Clinical Senate Programme Lead via sue.dutch@nhs.net or 0113 807 0443.

The London Clinical Senate values diversity and equality and strives to reflect the diversity of London’s population in the PPV Group’s membership. They are seeking PPV members from across London and particularly encourage applications from black and minority ethnic groups, young people and people with disabilities.

Induction, training, development and peer support will be provided to assist successful applicants in fulfilling these roles.
